Caring for Your Child’s Teeth
Good habits start early. Begin cleaning your child’s gums before the first tooth appears, then switch to a soft toothbrush as teeth come in. Use a rice-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste for young children, increasing to a pea-sized amount as they grow.
Limit frequent snacking and sugary drinks, and help with brushing until your child can do it effectively on their own — usually around age seven or eight. First dental visits often begin by age one or when the first tooth appears.
Our team provides gentle, age-appropriate care for children and teens. Request an appointment for your child today.
