What to Expect at Your First Visit
A first visit usually includes a review of your health history, a conversation about your goals, and a thorough exam of your teeth and gums. X-rays may be taken if needed to see areas that are not visible during the exam.
Your dentist will explain any findings in plain language and outline treatment options when appropriate. There is no pressure to decide everything in one visit — the goal is to help you feel informed and comfortable.
